Padiș Plateau

Cheile Turzii (Turda Gorge)

Scărișoara Ice Cave
Home to the largest underground glacier in Romania. Even in midsummer, the temperature inside drops significantly—bring a jacket! The trail to the cave is a moderate 9.65 km (about 5 hours round trip).

- Galbenei Gorge Loop: The regions crown jewel. A 12.9 km (7h) challenging loop through the Galbenei Canyon featuring waterfalls, natural tunnels, and the Ponor Fortresses. Hard difficulty, excellent fitness required.
- Groapa Ruginoasa: A striking red-colored ravine with dramatic rock formations. 5.77 km, moderate difficulty. Great for photography.
- La Balcoane viewpoint: The easiest way to see Cetățile Ponorului from above. Short walk from the parking area, suitable for families.
